There was an original privately-owned bridge nearby used by local cyclists, farmers and visitors to the nearby fishery. However, this older bridge was faulty and then deemed unsafe for public use. At A E Yates we are proud to work on large projects like this in order allow access to local business’ and create a safer transport for the local community.

We were joined by:

Councillor Alan Quinn:

”This bridge has been built in Huddersfield using European steel and that is what public money should be used for… I am delighted that this has been built locally, social value should be a big part of any project… I will now proudly open this bridge as part of the roach valley green way cross.”
