A E Yates Ltd. Selected as Contractor on Net Zero Teesside Power and Northern Endurance Partnership Projects!

As part of these pioneering developments, A E Yates Ltd. will work with Costain Group PLC and deliver a broad range of temporary and permanent civil engineering works as part of the electricity and gas connection scopes and the onshore CO2 gathering system.

The work is crucial to the delivery of NZT Power – the first East Coast Cluster carbon capture project to commence construction and which is set to be the world’s first gas-fired power station with carbon capture, and NEP which is constructing the CO2 transportation and storage infrastructure which will serve NZT Power and future East Coast Cluster projects on Teesside and the Humber.

A E Yates Ltd., a UK-based company with a regional office in Cargo Fleet on Teesside, will start work in late 2025 and the contract will support around 50 directly employed roles, including several apprentices, and will indirectly support many more jobs within our local supply chain.

Committed to the local community, A E Yates Ltd. have already established relationships with various local charities, colleges, youth clubs and other community organisations to provide work experience opportunities, career talks, donations and volunteering.

This win not only builds upon our experience as a significant regional civil engineering contractor, but also our expertise in the power and energy sector. We are excited to be supporting both Net Zero Teesside and the Northern Endurance Partnership as they deliver the power generation and carbon capture and storage infrastructure central to the UK’s net zero goals.
