The works involved the upgrade of an existing very busy 5 arm roundabout on the outskirts of Northwich to a new gyratory system, utilising the existing highway including carriageways, footways and verge areas and the roundabout to provide additional running lanes, access roads and parking areas. The works included: excavation, drainage, kerbing, street lighting, ducting, installation of traffic signals and carriageway construction, surfacing works, signing and lining and all associated traffic management. Works also included the programming, co-ordination and monitoring of public utilities who carried out utility diversion works. As appreciation of our efforts to minimise disruption during the works through effective local PR and phased working, local businesses and schools voted that a new short road constructed as part of the scheme be named Yates Way.
