Overview

Residential Development - Throckley

We delivered a fully integrated Surefound foundation system at the Throckley development for Barratt David Wilson Homes. The project comprised the installation of driven tubular steel piles combined with precast concrete ground beams, forming a comprehensive foundation solution across the site.

A total of 746 piles were installed, each driven to refusal to ensure the required design capacity was achieved. Following pile installation, our team positioned precast pile caps and installed over 3,500 linear metres of ground beams, creating a robust and reliable foundation system for the development.

The integrated approach allowed the team to tailor the foundation system to the specific site conditions while maintaining efficiency and programme adherence. By combining advanced pile installation techniques with precision-engineered precast beams, the solution ensured uniform load distribution and long-term structural stability.

We prioritise a meticulous, detail-driven approach on every project. From the careful installation of each pile to the precise placement of ground beams, our team delivered a foundation system that met the client’s expectations, providing confidence in the strength and durability of the development.
