Derby OCOR - Flood Defence Works

Galliford Try ( GBVJV ), are the principle contractor providing the construction of the new flood protection scheme, as part of the ongoing improvements to flood defences for Derby City Council, Potential of 10 years frame work package to protect local business premises, factories, housing estates and recreation areas.
SPI Piling Ltd were appointed as the steel piling specialist (Piling Contractor of Choice!), employed to supply and install over the steel sheet piles required as part of the design to provide improved flood defences in numerous areas in and around Derby, as part of the overall improvements scheme.
Due to the varied restrictions, and access conditions the piles were installed using a variety of modern equipment including SPI Piling's ABI TM 13/16SL Telescopic Leader Rig complete with MRZV20VV Hammer, Movax SPH75 and Kowan WP150 Tosa Still Worker.
