SPI Piling Ltd were employed to install multiple sections of sheet piling on nights to form various retaining walls, as part of improving the M60 to Smart Motorway between Junction 8 and Junction 20.
Typical installations involved AZ18-700 & AZ24-700 Steel Piles complete with fabricated steel capping beam.
Various methods were utilised, dependant on access restrictions but included ABI Rig, Sidegrip and Conventional methods.
All piles are permanent retaining walls to Gantry bases and emergency refuge areas.
