Warrington Cenotaph

The development comprised replacing a section of failing River Wall adjacent to the Cenotaph. As part of the scheme landscaping and public realm works to the Cenotaph were to be completed. Including temporary removal and subsequent reconstruction of elements of the Cenotaph.
SPI Piling Ltd, were engaged for the supply & installation of 16nr pairs AZ36-700N 13.5m long to form a new river
training wall at Warrington Cenotaph alongside the River Mersey. Sheet piles were driven conventionally using piling gates (set up within the River Mersey) with 110T crawler crane in attendance. Due to the location of the work site, all main plant, equipment and sheet pile deliveries/collections were made at night. Sheet piles initially driven using SPI's 24VM vibratory hammer then driven to toe level/refusal using a CX85 impact hammer.
