The works involved upgrading existing highway junctions and the construction of dedicated segregated cycle facilities. The scheme involved: major traffic management; installation of new kerbing and tactile paving; footway and carriageway construction and resurfacing; installation of new traffic signals and associated ducting and infrastructure including the provision of low-level cycle signals; installation of carriageway drainage; provision of new traffic signs and road markings.
