Long Load
A E Yates Trenchless Solutions Ltd were awarded the contract to install new potable water mains at Long Load in Somerset using the Horizontal Directional Drilling Method.
Each drill consisted of 2 x 140m of 250mm SDR11 then a short move across the fields to install further 2 x 90m installations of 250mm SDR11. These new water main pipes were provided and welded by the main client and we installed these within the client’s easement.
The 2 x 140m drills were installed at roughly 45 degrees to the bridge and straight under the foundations of the arches. This was installed at 8m deep and eco – friendly drilling fluid used as this was a river full of fish and was monitored by the EA.

This job was finished on time and on budget with a please client.
