SPI McGrattan were awarded this project in January 2020 by Main Contractor Tolent Construction Limited, the works were to carry out the piling and associated tie bars installation for the upgrade of the working quayside within the energy park for Sheppards Offshore, the facility owner.
The works consisted of the installation of 30lin meters of new CHS/U section Combi wall over a length of existing quay edge. Installation of 126 nr 457mm CHS bearing piles for the support of the heavy load out area and installation of anchor piles and tie bars as part of the overall quay wall design. The works were carried out utilising various piling techniques from Leader Rigs to Conventional methods supported by 200te and 100te crawler cranes.
