A fantastic night held at the Midland Hotel in Manchester for the CECA North West Annual Awards Dinner 2022.

Celebrating the best of the North West, the night proved a huge success for A E Yates which saw our Site Manager, Aaron Orr, win the prestigious ‘Young Professional of the Year Award’, an excellent achievement and well deserved recognition for the enthusiasm and commitment shown throughout. Well done Aaron!

We are delighted to have won ‘Project of the Year Award up to £1m’ for Dean Brook Culvert in Bolton on behalf of the Environment Agency. A highly successful scheme delivered to protect the local community from flood risk following the damage caused by Storms Desmond and Eva in December 2015. Works were also carried out on this scheme by SPI Piling Ltd, part of the AEY Group.

A E Yates Ltd also received a Social Value Commendation for the landmark A590 Cross-a-Moor Roundabout Scheme in Ulverston delivered through our Scheme Delivery Framework (SDF) for National Highways in the NW. An extremely sensitive and challenging scheme which saw many initiatives, public engagements, and extensive PR liaison to help deliver a substantial amount of successful social value througout the works.

A special mention for Neil McLeod, our retired Group Business Development Director, who was presented with a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ acknowledging his long and distinguished career, which has spanned more than four decades within the industry.
