A E Yates Civil Engineering constructed Harthill Reservoir’s Spillway in partnership with Kier Group and Canal & River Trust and we are proud of the finished result. This spillway will prevent flooding and will therefore protect local communities.

 Principal Features of A E Yates Civil Engineering’s work:

• Constructing the Labyrinth Weir, and Spillway with penstocks, low flow pipes, gate valves, concrete chute and reinforced grass channel.
• Fabricate and install footbridge to accommodate public footpath.
• Construct toe drainage with inspection chambers and outlet structures
• Install replacement trash screens and access improvements
• Remove auxiliary Spillway and reinstate Dam including access steps.
• Site Access works, public footpath works.
