We have launched our second middleweight vibrostone column rig. The rig was built as part of our growth strategy as we need to increase our vibrostone column capability to meet expected future customer demand. It was a considered but ultimately easy decision to build this rig as it balances our fleet of vibrostone column rigs and offers more customer choice. The rig has already completed its first project, in tandem with its sister rig, on an industrial site in the midlands.

This second rig has subtle changes, the most obvious being that it is even more compact, but will provide the same performance. The main difference between these rigs and our traditional rigs is the lower ground bearing pressure that they exert. This in turn can mean that the piling platform requirement can be reduced resulting in a saving for the contractor.
