Two full systems with pumps and jacking rig. One system has been used mainly with a 1500mm ID upsizing skin. We have interjacks and rings for the 1200 and 1500 machines and a remote automatic bentonite system also for sale to minimise access. With bentonite and interjacks and electric drive there is no theoretical limit to the length of drive but in practice 250m is a realistic maximum drive length.
Steering is by means of a laser onto a target with information on inclination and roll relayed from gauges in the head by TV camera. The crushing capacity of the machine is around 400mm and 200Mpa. The electric drive and low gearing of the TBM allows it to work with only a 45kw drive motor (we also have a 55kw motor for use with the 1500 upsize). We have heads, control cabins and jacking rigs for two systems but the main body and internal gearbox on both need refurbishing.
