A E Yates Ltd. continue work on the Basford East Primary Infrastructure site for Homes England – a future housing and commercial development on greenfield land.

The primary infrastructure works include an S278 junction with existing highway, bulk excavation, construction of 560m of new S38 highway in two legs, associated footways, precast concrete culvert to Basford Brook, new utility services into the site, extensive foul and surface water drainage including a new pumping station and 1km rising main.

Following installation of a temporary bridge across the environmentally sensitive Basford Brook, piling platforms either side of the Brook for the permanent crossing, have now been completed.

Currently, due to running sand, a dewatering process has commenced and once this is complete the deep foul drainage works will begin.
