Our Restricted Access team was set up to deal with unusual, difficult or tight situations not covered by our other services. Typical conditions for restricted access piling include limited headroom, constrained footprints, very close existing structures or where heavy loadings cannot be supported. We completed this challenging contract that others may have shied away from. The installation of 22 bottom-driven piles in extremely tight quarters to facilitate a domestic piled retaining wall was some achievement by the team considering the issues.
The working platform was subject to flooding and frost most nights and the working area was a squeeze to say the least! However, working closely with the customer, we managed the works safely. We completed the project on time with no standing time and to the full satisfaction of the customer.
We were involved from the preliminary stages and developed a bespoke solution after exploring and exhausting other options. Working closely with the customer and their engineers we set to work and produced a viable, acceptable solution. The project was then carried out using our specialist plant and equipment with no disruption to other site activities.
