Four Year Anniversary

As August is now here, Combined Soil Stabilisation have been working on HS2 for four years. The works started with a trial embankment back in 2019 and since then we have carried out works on the sections managed by the main contractors Align, EKFB and BBV both directly for them and also for specialist suppliers like Tarmac, Blackwells and Walters. At peak we had over 10 Wirtgens working simultaneously across the route and at the moment we have six operating on earthworks operations.

During this time we have treated over 2 million cubic meters of material and over 1 million square metres of haul road or temporary compounds. This works has been undertaken in cooperation with out clients with a great working relationship from Director level to Site operatives.  We look forward to continuing our works on the project over the next few years as the earthworks progress continuing to provide a quality service. In all of our operations we remain customer focussed operating in accordance with published UK and European Standards and the Britpave Guidelines for Best Practice (all of which we have had a major input in drafting) we work for a diverse range of customers throughout the United Kingdom. Customers include small to major earthworks contractors through to multi-national conglomerates in a range of sectors. We are flexible in commercial arrangements and undertake projects through a variety of contract suites, frameworks and partnerships. Our work scope ranges from small estate roads to major infrastructure schemes and huge distribution building footprints. Generally, we are initially approached for our specialist skills, knowledge, experience, financial stability and the services we offer. We then seek to develop long term relationships by working with customers, preferably from the feasibility stage. This customer focused approach is used regardless of the stage of our relationship with customers in the trust that the relationship will develop further. We know from experience that early involvement is key to determining best value and the most cost-effective solution. Openness, honesty and trust play their part in any relationship and this is one of the main reasons that we have achieved a high level of repeat business
